Atina Olimpiyat Stadı'nda önceki akşam yapılan 51. Eurovision Şarkı Yarışması yarı finalde, "Süper Star" adlı şarkıyla Sibel tüzün tarafından temsil edilen Türkiye, finale katılmaya hak kazandı. Kıvrak dans kareorafisi, modacı Erol Albayrak'ın 3 kilo kristalden hazırladığı sahne kostümü ile beğeni toplayan Tüzün, SMS oyları ile finale çıkmaya hak kazanan 10 ülke temsilcisi arasında yer aldı. Tüzün, yarı finali ve final heyecanını şöyle anlattı:
"Biz Türkiye'den, sanatçı dostlarımızdan ne yazık ki, istediğimiz desteği alamadık. Ne yapalım, olur böyle şeyler. Ben başarmak için yola çıktım, en azından yolun yarısını geçtik. Yaşanan şu zor günlerde, Türkiye'nin aydınlık yüzü olabilmek için gayret gösteriyoruz. Burada morallimiz iyi ama Türkiye'de moraller iyi değil galiba. Biraz güç vermek, moral vermek için gayretle çalışıyorum.
Yunanistan'da bizlere çok büyük destek ve ilgi var. İnanın bizleri çok seviyorlar. Medya bize destek oluyor. Bugün yapılacak olan finalde, İngiletere, Finlandiya, İspanya ve Yunanistan'dan bize 12 puan geleceğini tahmin ediyorum. Buralardan 12 puan gelirse, diğer ülkelerinde oy vereceğine inanıyorum. Sonuç olarak moralim yerinde. Kızım da yanımda. İnandığım ve sevdiğim bir işi yaptığım için bana inanan insanları, en azından umutlandırdım. Kimse kaybetmek istemez, ben de kaybetmek istemiyorum.
