 51'inci Eurovision şarkı yarışmasında finale yükselmesi, oylamanın son bölümlerinde kesinleşen Sibel Tüzün, bu aşamada yaşadığı gerginliği ''ölmek böyle oluyormuş'' diye tarif etti. ''Süper Star'' adlı parçayla yarı finalde Türkiye'yi temsil eden Sibel Tüzün, düzenlediği basın toplantısında, ''çok korktum, bunu itiraf ediyorum. Hatta bir ara nefesim kesildi. Finale yükselmeyi kesinlikle bekliyorduk, ama sonuçlar sona kalınca gerçekten çok korktum'' dedi.
Finalde hedefinin ilk 5'e girmek olduğunu belirten Sibel Tüzün, şunları söyledi: ''Ama tabii ki en büyük hedefim birinci olmak. İnşallah 2007'de de bu yarışmayı Türkiye'ye getiririz. Kafile olarak yaşadığımız dünkü olayı ve heyecanı bir türlü anlatamıyorum. Türkiye'nin finale geçtiğini öğrenince çok ağladım. Ama yine de cumartesi günü bütün bu olayları yeniden yaşamaya hazırım.''
Çocuğunu da yanında getirdiğini ama bütün bu olaylarda en büyük desteğini annesinden aldığını belirten Sibel Tüzün, ''Annem olmasaydı
tüm bunları başaramazdım. Anneme büyük borcum var'' dedi.
Türk kafilesinin yöneticileri de bu sonucu beklediklerini, ama çok aşırı bir heyecan yaşadıklarını, finalde de iyi bir yere gelineceğine inandıklarını belirttiler. Öte yandan Sibel Tüzün, özellikle Yunan basını başta olmak üzere uluslararası basından büyük ilgi gördü. Basın mensuplarının tebrikini
