| EUROVISION’A SİBEL TÜZÜN GİDİYOR | Tarih: 5.01.2006
 "51. Eurovision Şarkı Yarışması"nda Türkiye’yi Sibel Tüzün temsil edecek. TRT’nin "Eurovision Şarkı Yarışması" için izleyeceği takvim ile organizasyonun programı, Genel Müdür Vekili Ali Güney tarafından İstanbul’da düzenlenen basın toplantısında açıklandı. Buna göre, Atina’da 18-20 Mayıs 2006 tarihleri arasında gerçekleştirilecek etkinlikte Türkiye adına sanatçı Sibel Tüzün yarışacak
 Sibel Tüzün,tıpkı 2004 yılında olduğu üç tane şarkıyı kamuoyuna sunacak ve halk oylaması ile bu üç şarkıdan en çok ilgi gören(yani en çok oy alan) ülkemizi Atina'da temsil edecek.Şarkının dili ise geçen yılki gibi Türkçe olacak.
Sibel Tüzün iki yılı aşın bir süredir kendisisine baskı yapan fan kulubünün de büyük etkisiyle Eurovision'a katılma kararı aldığını ve Türkiye kepsamındaki çalışmalarda OGAE kulubünün kendisine destek vermesini beklediğini belirtti.
Geçen yıl 50. yapılan Eurovision Şarkı Yarışması'nda Gülseren ülkemizi temsil etti ve 13. oldu.Bu yıl bu sonuçtan ötürü yarı finali geçmek zorundayız.Bu yıl yarı finalleri geçip finalde iyi bir derece almayı umut ediyoruz.
