TURKEY´S REPRESENTETIVE IN THE 2006 EUROPEAN SONG CONTEST IN 2006, SIBEL TUZUN WAS INVITED TO ATHENS ON THE 13-15TH OF MARCH, AS A GUEST OF THE GREEK STATE BROADCASTING CORPORATION “ERT” SIBEL HAS ENJOYED AN IMMENSE RECEPTION FROM THE GREEK MEDIA AND THE GREEK PUBLIC, DURING THIS VISIT ALSO PROMOTING HER ENTRY SONG “SUPERSTAR”

| EUROVISION SONG |
 The final shoot of the video clip for our Eurovision song contest entry has been completed. The shoot, which started on the evening of Sunday, 26th February was finished approximately around 9:30 am on Monday morning.
Recorded on 35mm film format, the clip was to go through its final editing on Tuesday.

With the approaching date of the competition, preparations in various European contries are also gathering a significant momentum. Lead by the press and media of Greece and other countries such as Malta, Estonia, Bulgaria and Khazakistan, invitations to Sibel to give interviews and appear in television programs, are also coming in thick and fast. Sibel wants to make it known that plans to promote the Turkish entry through an European tour is being made and that she would be in a better position to respond to the kind offers after the 15th of March..

An exclusive DVD has been prepared to promote Sibel Tuzun with regard to the Eurovision Song Contest. This DVD intended for distribution to various European bradcasting bodies, contains alongside a 10 minute introductory footage, samples of Sibel’s work and major milestones in her career.

I have been given the honor to represent my country in the 51’st Eurovision Song Contest, to be held in Athens, performing my own composition and lyrics. The stipulation of TRT (Turkish Radio & Television) is for three songs to be produced, to be performed in Turkish, one of which is to be selected by TRT to be the Turkish entry. The promotion CD will also contain the English and the Greek versions of the selected work.

| Who is Sibel Tüzün? |
 Sibel Tüzün was born on 29 september 1971 in Istanbul.
She began her music education by joining TRT Istanbul Children's Choir. In secondary school, she met Gokcen Koray,Cenan Akin and Hikmet Simsek, who are important musicians in Turkey,by joining Youth Choir of TRT. She was interested in pop and rock music in the years she was a student in Besiktas Ataturk High School.

| TRT announced Sibel Tüzün as representative for Athens Eurovision 2006 |
 Few moments ago TRT 1 presented the press conference of the broadcaster in Conrad Hotel in Istanbul in which the name of the 2006 Turkish representative revealed. It is Sibel Tüzün. The Turkish national broadcaster announced the artist which was selected internally and soon we are awaiting more details regarding which song she will sing or if there will be a special procedure for the song entry in Eurovision 2006 edition.
